Default Beirut and Tartous back on map at Voyages of Discovery

19th April 2006

Quote:
Voyages of Discovery's 20,186gt Discovery is returning to Tartous in Syria and Beirut, Lebanon in summer 2007 after a four year absence. Referring to the return to Beirut, VoD md David Yellow said 'it is once again on the traveller's wish list.'

New for next year are five Grand Voyages that combine two or more summer cruises. They include a 16-night Voyage to Venice and a 28-night Grand Mediterranean Odyssey both out of Harwich, a 21-night Italy, Adriatic and Aegean departing from Nice, a 23-night Adriatic Aegean and Black Sea from Venice and a 20-night Wonder of Antiquity from Sharm el Sheikh in November.

Discovery will also make maiden calls to three Croatian ports of Koper, Zadar and Hvar before cruising the Dalmatian coast on a 12-night Adriatic and Aegean Treasures voyage. On three Baltic cruises in June, August and September (two of 14 days and a 13 day sailing - all from Harwich) the line is repeating its three-day stay in St Petersburg.

In total, Voyages of Discovery's summer preview brochure features 23 cruises.
