16,000 volunteers wanted HEATHROW bosses are checking in 16,000 people to test its spanking new Terminal 5 before it opens next year.
BAA, which operates seven UK airports, wants volunteers to act as passengers.
They will check out every part of the operation, including parking, security, check-in and baggage systems.
BAA spokeswoman Antonia Kimberley told Sun City: The work will be purely voluntary not paid-for. We are looking for people from local communities and anyone who is interested in aviation. We want a proper cross-section of society families, business people, people with disabilities so that the customer base is replicated.
Recruiting starts in the summer for the rehearsals which begin from September.
T5, due to open next March 27, will be the new home for BRITISH AIRWAYS. It is designed to get passengers on to flights much more smoothly and quickly.
Volunteers will initially carry out a series of small trials before larger testing with 2,000 people at a time. |
