Default Euro/CP

Hello all
I was hoping someone might be able to help re which currency I can use. I am visiting Cyprus soon and I am aware they changed to the Euro at the beginning of the year. I have also heard that some places will still take the old CP. Has anyone been since the start of the year? I still have lots of CP but not sure what to do with them.

I would say take them to a currency exchange and get Euros. It can be confusing during the money change-over, but in this case, I think Euro's would be your best bet.

Thanks Ryan - I understand it to be as confusing as you said. They were very reluctant to lose their CP as it was part of a tradition. I think we would feel just as strongly if we were forced to lose the BP.

Hi,
As far as I know, the old currency wil be exchanged to EURO until the end of June only.
I recommend that you go with EUROs.
Don't forget to paya visit to Tel-Aviv when you are around, you won't regret it :-)

Better get mine exchanged before I go then as I am not planning trip until around end of July. Bit of a trek to visit Tel-Aviv from Cyprus unless you're a good swimmer!!! Might save that for another trip.
You mentioned on another thread that you are into wildlife. I have been watching the Wild China series on BBC and I was really suprised at how many species are only found in China, are there many native species to Israel?
