|  West Orange Chamber supports rental car surcharge

At its March board meeting, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution in support of legislation currently under consideration by the state House and Senate about rental car surcharges.
The legislation would allow voters in each Florida county at election time to decide whether or not to add an additional $2 rental car surcharge. The surcharge would be used in the local area for transportation issues.
The legislation would allow Orange County voters to decide if the rental car surcharge would be a logical choice to add to transportation funding, says Chamber Chairwoman Pam Gould.
