 Road accident closes eastbound M8 near Edinburgh Airport
A serious road accident has closed the M8 near Edinburgh. The motorway is shut eastbound between junctions three and two - the area between Livingston and Edinburgh Airport.
Lothian and Borders Police said it will remain closed for a number of hours and have advised drivers to come off the motorway at Bathgate or East Whitburn.
One car was involved in the incident on Sunday morning. The extent of injuries and number of casualties is unknown.
