| Hawaiian in Harmony accord 22nd March 2006 Quote:
Hawaiian Airlines has allied with Harmony Airways to offer its Australian service to Canadians.
With Air Canada already flying from Vancouver to Sydney via Honolulu, a virtual competitive service has been set up with Harmony Air flying the first leg and Hawaiian the second, each using existing service.
The joint service, announced in Sydney with an understandable focus on Australians flying to Canada, comes with special "Maple Leaf fares" for travel until June 16 that is booked this month.
Hawaiian Airlines operates a Boeing 767-300ER from Sydney to Honolulu four times a week.
By filling more seats, the service improves the financial performance of Hawaiian's Honolulu-Sydney service, which provides competition to Qantas Airways service in the same corridor.
