Default Walker falls to death on mountain

A walker has fallen 200ft (61m) to his death on a mountain in Inverness-shire, after slipping in what rescuers have described as atrocious conditions. The man was with two friends on Ben Alder, south of the Cairngorms, when he slipped at about 1720 BST on Saturday.
The other walkers raised the alarm and were taken from the mountain in the early hours of Sunday by rescuers.
They said the area had been hit by driving wind and rain. The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
The man's body was recovered following a search and rescue mission that involved teams from the Cairngorm and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Teams and a Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth.
A report on the man's death will be submitted to the local procurator fiscal.
