ABC News reports on civic action regarding a proposed new golf development for Menie, Scotland.

"Developer Donald Trump has won the latest round in his quest to build a state-of-the-art golf course and luxury resort in the village of Menie, Scotland, when Balmedie councilors this week voted 7-to-4 in favor of his $2.1 billion (£1 billion) development proposal."

The application for a £1bn golf resort and complex by US tycoon Donald Trump has been rejected by Aberdeenshire councillors. Outline planning permission had been approved, but a more powerful committee of the council voted against the plans.

No mention at the present whether an appeal will be lodged.
