Likuliku Lagoon Resort Opens Fiji's long awaited Likuliku Lagoon Resort opened on Sunday 15 April as a couples only retreat with the country’s first ever over water bures built on the edge of the Likuliku Lagoon, located just 25 kms/16 miles from Nadi and 10 minutes by helicopter or seaplane, 30 minutes by speedboat transfer or 2 hours by regular fast catamaran transfer.
Situated in the Mamanuca group of islands in Fiji’s west, Likuliku Lagoon Resort ( Likuliku ) will offer the travel weary, luxury seeking or soft adventure enthusiast a magical sanctuary in which to indulge in a calm, tranquil oasis offering traditional design with a contemporary twist with just 46 bures, all of them air conditioned and all of them offering mesmerising views of the volcanic coral lagoon and ocean, ten of which will be suspended over the magnificent lagoon’s reef edge, the first of their kind in Fiji.
All guests will experience a Fijian welcome upon arrival to Likuliku before being escorted from the stunning arrival point, Masima Island in the middle of the lagoon to the bure of choice, be it an over water, deluxe beachfront or beachfront bure.
All bures offer private decks, air conditioning, music systems, internet access, king bed, exquisite amenities and feature all natural materials and traditional designs with rich fabrics and textures, stylish décor pieces and above all else, views.
The ten over water bures, with separate bathing pavilion, also offer DVD player , the chef’s canapé platter daily and the 18 deluxe beachfront bures have a secluded rear courtyard, outdoor shower, spacious deck, daybed retreat and private plunge pool.
