Default Kempinski Enters Central Asia


Kempinski Hotels is entering Central Asia with two projects in Kazakhstan. It also has signed an agreement with Okan Holding, a key Kazakhstan development company, which encompasses Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Scheduled to open in 2008 is a luxury hotel in a mixed-use complex in the exclusive Bostand district of Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan. It will have 230 rooms and serviced apartments, as well as a conference center, business center, spa and several restaurants. Also opening in 2008 is a mixed-use project in the Mikrorayon district of Astana, Kazakhstan's capital.
