Default Grand Mercure Planned for China's Yalong Bay

Accor is bringing its Grand Mercure brand to the shores of Yalong Bay on China's Hainan Island next year. The all-suite hotel, across from Yalong Bay Beach, will adjoin the National Mangrove Nature Reserve and will overlook the Yalong Bay Golf Course. The hotel will comprise 120 tropical-style villas, each with its won plunge pool, and another 80 suites in a low-rise setting. The Grand Mercure Yalong Bay, Sanya also will include a spa and wellness center, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a multipurpose meeting area, two restaurants and two bars. The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2007, and will be Accor's third hotel in Hainan, joining the Sofitel Boa and the soon-to-open Sofitel Fizi Hainan. Visit [www.accor.com].
