 EasyHotel launches low-cost brand in India
EasyHotel has teamed up with Istithmar Hotels to launch the low-cost hotel brand in India and the Middle East. The company said the low-cost easyHotel model was an entirely new concept for the area. Partner company Istithmar Hotels, which will construct easyHotels in the Middle East, North Africa, India and Pakistan, will invest more than $400 million in the next five years.
EasyHotel has 38 properties planned in 17 countries, with six in India alone.
EasyGroup chief Stelios Haji-Ioannou said: “It is clear that India is awash with opportunity and we have big plans for the easyHotel.com brand here.”
