Continental moves from Gatwick South to North Continental Airlines has moved its Gatwick operation from the South to the North Terminal.
All six departures to Newark, Houston and Cleveland will leave from the newer terminal, operating from adjacent gates for the first time.
Continental has installed self-service kiosks in the main concourse but has given up its Presidents Club facility in the old terminal. Instead, it is now sharing Emirates’ new North Terminal lounge which can handle 255 passengers.
A Continental spokesman said there were “no plans” to open a dedicated facility but added that Continental’s own arrivals lounge in the South Terminal was being retained.
The spokesman added that the move to the North Terminal made interlining with key partners such as Emirates much easier.
