 Aircraft makes emergency landing
A plane travelling to Portugal has been forced to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport.
The Thomas Cook plane, which took off from Birmingham Airport, developed problems with its hydraulics en route to Faro.
The pilot contacted Manchester Airport's control tower requesting permission to land.
The airport was put on full emergency alert but the aircraft landed safely just before 1600 BST.
