OMG!!!! I think it is the sound of fear coming from the passengers that is the scariest bit. I was on a plane about 11 years ago travelling from Jeddah to Riyadh and we literally bounced several times on landing and tipped so that the wing scraped the runway. Most of the passengers were arabic and just prayed to Allah in a quiet and serene way, I had a very small baby on my lap and was silently petrified.
