Quote:
Only 18% of business travellers use a travel agent to book their airline tickets, a passenger survey has revealed.
The poll by European regional carrier VLM, which runs 220 flights a week from London City Airport, also found that only 23% used a company travel department.
Three quarters of the 1,340 passengers questioned used a credit card to book tickets, with 35.4% using company credit cards and 40.5% using personal cards, according to the airline.
More than 46% booked within seven days of travelling while 65.2% took trips of two nights or less.
More than three quarters of the airline's passengers were travelling on business when the survey was conducted in January and February.
Almost 40% said they would be likely to choose VLM over other carriers in future, while 54.5% said they would be at least likely to choose it as other airlines. (TravelMole)
Yes i have to agree, i'm part of the majority.
It wouldn't come to my mind to use an agent to do that kind of stuff, it's just so easy with a card and i hate waisting time....and money!
