Default Home comforts missed most by business travellers

29th March 2006

Quote:
Business travellers pine for home comforts and someone to share a drink when they stay in hotels on work trips, according to a survey.

Going without the luxuries of home life was the worst aspect of staying in a hotel for 27% of business travellers while a quarter said loneliness troubled them more than anything else.

A further 12% said the impersonal atmosphere of a hotel was hard to deal with while one in ten said the biggest bugbear was being unable to control the temperature of a room.

To underline the basic facilities of some rooms, three out of ten travellers said they have had to eat a meal on their bed with 38% forced to work from their bed.

The survey was carried out by a The Chambers, a serviced apartment in Leeds.(TravelMole)

I think ti depends on how often your travelling for buissness and what hotels your staying at. Most offer a desk where I usually work off of if needed and some chains like the Hilton have a nice mini-office setup for the regular corporate traveller.

I dont travel often, so for me its fun, but if I did it weekly it would be tiresome.
