Space available on Rhine, Moselle cruises Fall sailings through wine country on the Rhine and Moselle rivers are still available on Peter Deilmann Cruises’ 110-passenger Heidelberg in September and October.
The seven-night cruises sail on the Moselle to the small wine villages of Cochem and Bernkastel. The ship calls at Trier, Germany's oldest town, and the port of Klobenz at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle.
It is from Koblenz south to the wine region and Mainz that travelers can see the many castles and castle ruins along the Rhine. Other Rhine cities on the itineraries include Amsterdam, Cologne, Düsseldorf, the small wine town of Rüdesheim, the old imperial city of Speyer, and Strasbourg in the Alsace region of France.
Cruises depart from Amsterdam, Trier and Mainz (Frankfurt) on Saturdays. Value season departures are Oct. 14, 21 and 28 with prices starting at $1,495 per person in a twin outside cabin. Main season rates start at $2,050. |
