Question Royal Caribbean Quits Galveston Fall Cruises

Can anyone tell me why RCCL Quit Cruisng to the Western Caribbean for the Fall Months of Sept, Oct. and Nov. Me and The Dw can only cruise in those months, but mainly we go in October, The Rhapsody was Going but Quit and theres no other Ship sailing on those specific Dates! The Rhapsody is still there but shes not cruising for those months or do they any Bookings online for those months, the Cruise line didnt have any answer for me!

RCI are not the only line to pull Galveston from their schedules. Princess have done the same thing. I can only think that it might have something to do with the continued development of the cruise facilities in Houston, thus making Galveston effectively obsolete and leaving just Carnival operating out of there. It is a very annoying move for many people who use Galveston and who now find themselves with an extremely limited choice of ship/itinerary. Whether either company intends going back to Galveston in 2009 is anyone's guess, although chances are with the take off of cruise destinations in the Far East and Australasia and the downturn in Caribbean popularity, the lines could well just be cutting their losses and moving into more lucrative markets.

Money comes into play and I guess I dont Blame them, but they get the money from us, the ship was always booked solid, we may have to look at other Ports in The Future! Thanks Ally
