Default Olsen's Braemar to trial SMS/GSM services

Mobile phone calls and text messaging will be available to passengers on Fred Olsen Cruise Line's ship Braemar.

The GSM and SMS services are being installed during the ship's transatlantic voyage to the Caribbean for its winter season of fly/cruises and will go live from October 27.

The service is being trialled for six months and if it proves successful will be rolled out across the entire fleet next year.

Passengers on Braemar will be able to make and receive mobile calls through the Maritime Communications Partner system on all parts of the ship apart from the Thistle Restaurant and Neptune Lounge.
