The New York office of Norwegian Coastal Voyage is promoting air-inclusive, seven-day killer whale (orca) safaris to Norway's Lofoten Islands from Oct. 22 to Dec. 26 as part of its new ‘Arctic Adventures’ winter program.
The safaris include Tromsø, a voyage through the Lofotens, whale-watching, a stay in a restored fisherman's cottage and Oslo.
Seven-day packages cost $2,300 to $2,465 per person, double occupancy, and include hotels and flights from New York to Tromsø and back from Oslo. Family departures on Oct. 22 and Dec. 26 welcome adults and children ages 5 and up. The eight-day New Year safari, $2,795, spends an extra day in Svolvaer and celebrates New Year's Eve in Borg with a horse and sleigh ride to a replica Viking chieftain’s house for a gala dinner.
