I took a River Cruise in the South of France this past Christmas with Grand Circle Travel. On the very first night of the cruise, I was sexually groped by the Hotel manager, Mario while I was trying to get into my room!!! I was shocked and in disbelief and pushed him off me and was able to get into my room. Since he was in charge and being such a small cruise ship, there was no one I could tell. I was humiliated and embarassed and had to encounter him the rest of the week, in which he continued to flirt with me even though I was very cold to him. I reported this incident to GCT when I returned home, and I was jerked around by two top reps for 5 months. I finally received a letter stating that the hotel manager denied the accusations (of course he did, considering that he is married), but they did put him on probation (slap on the hand), but they also felt that I am not entitled to any sort of compensation. Not only was this trip expensive, but this hotel manager ruined my very first trip to Europe. It got to the point where I would have my roommate go to the front desk to get our room keys, etc. since the manager was always there. I would never travel with GCT again. Single women, beware, they have no respect for us and our well being. If this guy was in America, I would've had him arrested!
