Tangier is a very nice city, situated on the Atlantic side of the Straits of Gibraltar It is an old, and was once a very grand city, where grandeur is still in evidence, but unfortunately a largely decaying city.

We stayed at an hotel on the seafront, approximately ten miles from Tangier, next to the Caves of Hercules. Caves that have a shape of Africa, that looks out at the sea. It is said that the shape was formed naturally. We spent two weeks in the area, and found the whole area fascinating, especially a walk along the sea front to see the place where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic.

is an example whilst in Internet Explorer you can right click on the opening page, and select the “Translate Page to English” and will translate the page into English. Please note this command does not work on every web address.

In Firefox you have to convert to IE first.

Smile Great Post!

I've been to Morocco but I have explored only the city of Casablanca. Maybe on my next trip, I'll go to Tangier. Thanks for the info

Em! Coming to Morocco just to visit Casablanca?

Not a good idea, there are many small cities that you can visit instead of going to do economical capital of Morocco.

Anyway, hope that next time it will be a great visit for you!

I have always wanted to go, but alas, I never have the time I've been to England, Scotland, and Ireland, but that's it for Europe. I have been almost everywhere in South America though.
